Ubicada en la Península de Azuero, a tres horas de Región Central de Panamá, encontramos un paraíso por descubrir: Pedasí, tierra de tradiciones y de Folklor. Es un pequeño pueblo parecido a la pintoresca Toscana en Italia o a la Región Costera de Guanacaste en Costa Rica.

La historia de este pueblo se remonta desde la llegada de los colonizadores provenientes de España en el siglo XVII. Tiene un encanto especial que se puede observar en sus casas, iglesias y plazas en el pueblo, que conservan los colores pastorales apreciados en los techos con sus vistosas tejas.*

Por todos sus atractivos naturales Pedasí, en los últimos años se ha convertido en un lugar ideal para cualquier turista que ama el mar y el ambiente pacífico tropical. Sus playas desérticas casi vírgenes, de arena blanca con agua cristalinas, con una que otra tradicional hacienda estilo española, hacen del lugar un sitio especial para vacaciones caracterizadas por el disfrute y el descanso.

Con un agradable clima durante todo el año, Pedasí cuenta con innumerables atractivos turísticos, rodeado de playas como: Playa Toro, El Cascajal, La Garita, Punta Chumico, Playa La Miel, Playa Tortuga, El Arenal, Los Destiladeros, Playa el Lagarto, Punta Mala y Playa Venao, donde regularmente se celebran competencias de Surf de clase internacional.

Como otro atractivo para los visitantes: Isla Iguana, es considerada un santuario marino que cuenta con más de 1 hectáreas de coral, el mayor banco de coral en el Golfo de Panamá.

En Isla Iguana igualmente, se observa la colonia más grande de aves tijeretas o fragatas del Océano Pacifico Central con más de 5,000.

Pedasí, comúnmente llamada la Costa Atunera, es reconocida también por sus importantes torneos de pesca deportiva donde el visitante puede disfrutar de la captura de una variedad de peces como el pez vela, espada, wahoo y dorado.

La Costa de Pedasí es popular para los turistas que vienen a ver las ballenas con sus crías, las tortugas poniendo huevos y a disfrutar de experiencias de una asombrosa variedad de actividades acuáticas como el buceo, surf, snorkerl durante todo el año.

Por todo lo anterior, este paradisiaco lugar, se ha convertido en un segundo hogar para compradores extranjeros, perfecto para el retiro y el destino para las vacaciones de lujo, tanto así que una aerolínea local, brinda ahora dos vuelos a la semana, con salidas los viernes y lunes. Los inversionistas vienen de todas partes del mundo a implantar sus ideas en tierras pedasieñas con proyectos millonarios para los gustos más exigentes.

  Estoy convencido de que la gente en si tiene mucho que ver con lo limpio y bello de cada pueblo. La costumbre, cultura, caracter, disposicion positiva y orgullo de su pueblo y la cooperacion y disciplina de todos!
  
  Fijense en el contraste entre Colon y los pueblos del interior. Porque esa diferencia tan notable?

    CONTRASTE DE QUE

    Colon posee las playas mas bonitas y refrescantes que las de Pedasi, sin hablar de su gente amable, acogedora y cordial, sus comidas afrocaribeña no tiene comparacion con el atrasado interior de Azuero incluyendo a Pedasi.
