Jumboferias para frenar alza de precios

El gobierno y el sector empresarial analizaron ayer las opciones para enfrentar el alza en los precios de la canasta básica familiar y en los combustibles. Al encuentro convocado por el mandatario Ricardo Martinelli no asistió la representación del PRD, a pesar de haber sido invitada por este.

Las principales opciones serían duplicar la cantidad de jumboferias y poner en práctica una campaña agresiva de ahorro energético

Una partida de 6 millones de dólares fue transferida al Ministerio de Desarrollo Agropecuario para ampliar la cantidad de las jumboferias desarrolladas, las cuales tienen previsto comenzar este fin de semana y llevar a los panameños productos de la canasta básica familiar más baratos y sin intermediarios.

“Este sistema de ferias se realizará de forma permanente durante este año ya que, según análisis de mercado, los compradores se ahorran cerca de 30 dólares al adquirir sus productos en estas ferias, frente a otros comercios” , aseguró el ministro Alberto Vallarino.

El presidente del Consejo Nacional de la Empresa Privada (CoNEP), Antonio Fletcher, destacó que las ferias deben “institucionalizarse en todo el territorio y hacerse por lo menos durante un período continuo de 90 días”.

Se propuso que, con el fin de evitar la reventa y la especulación de los productos que se distribuyan en dichas ferias, la venta debe hacerse de forma controlada.
