El Salvador nos vuelve a ganar en futbol, esta vez en un juego correspondiente al triangular pre-olimpico. El Salvador se clasifica y Panama tendra la opcion de jugar al repechaje contra el segundo lugar del otro grupo, conformado por Costa Rica, Honduras y Nicaragua.

Panama pago caro dos errores defensivos a balon parado, el segundo gol de El Salvador se hizo cuando Panama jugaba con un hombre mas, ya que los salvadoreños perdieron a uno de los suyos por roja directa.
