El gobernante panameño destacó la participación de los jugadores en este campeonato, además los motivó para que continúen practicando este deporte.

‘Son unos pequeños héroes y futuros grandes ligas que le brindarán muchas glorias al país’, dijo Martinelli.

El presidente también agradeció a los pequeños por haber dejado el nombre del país en alto.

‘Quedar en un cuarto lugar en una Serie Mundial, un país tan pequeño como Panamá y peleando con el gigantesco equipo de Japón, es como ganar un primer lugar’, aseguró el mandatario.

En el acto, donde participaron miembros del cuerpo técnico, Rubén Cárdenas, director de Pandeportes y familiares, se le entregó una computadora portátil a cada pequeño.

‘Esta computadora es para que sigan conectados con el mundo’, afirmó el jefe del Ejecutivo.

En tanto, el jugador Rafael Eysseric le obsequió al gobernante una gorra representativa del equipo istmeño.

    aveces aqui la gente critica solo por criticar, cuando panama a ganado esta serie mundial? nunca, los mas que se ha llegado fue a una final con el oeste de los estados unidos en el 93 y ya, los demas equipos que han sido 4 en total con este, en toda su historia no han llegado ni siquiera a la final, este llego a la final internacional y el otro del 93 llego a la final mundial, los otros 2 eliminados. y yaaaaa, mas nunca panama a representado el area, y estamos hablando desde que se iniciaron estos torneos en 1947. no hablen tanta paja..por Dios, es un logro lo que han hecho, ademas ahi hay un slugger que se llama jame gonzalez, que es muy buen peloterito y entiende los fundamentos de este juego, puede llegar lejos en el futuro
